The 3-Step Daily Basics

Normal skin

Oily skin

Your skin is greasy and shiny, especially on the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin). There are visible open pores, blackheads, pimples, and spots, making your skin look patchy.

Choose a oil-control facial cleanser for a daily wash, twice a day, and a scrub to remove impurities twice or thrice a week. Remember to use a toner to clarify your skin and close your pores. Follow with an oil-free daily moisturizer to re-hydrate your skin while keep your skin matt.

Dry skin

Your skin feels tight and uncomfortable, even more so after cleansing or shaving. It looks dull and has a rough texture as it often peels or flakes.

Choose a gentle facial cleanser that re-hydrates the skin daily, and a gentle scrub to remove impurities and dead cells. Remember to use a toner to brighten your skin and lock the moisture within your pores. Follow with a deep hydrating daily moisturizer to retain moisture in your skin.

Sensitive skin

Your skin reacts to most skincare and shaving products, even fragrances, resulting in redness, blotches, itchiness and even rashes. It turns red and burnt easily when exposed to heat or the sun.

First test any new products on your wrist for allergies before using on your face. Choose a gentle facial cleanser designed for sensitive skin, free from harsh chemicals. Remember to use a gentle toner to clarify your skin and close your pores. Follow with a daily moisturizer to hydrate your skin.

Combination skin

Your skin has the characteristics of two or more of the above skin types.

Choose a gentle oil-free facial cleanser to hydrate your skin. Remember to use a toner to clarify your skin and close your pores. Follow with a daily oil-free moisturizer to rehydrate the dry areas of your skin, without exacerbating the oiliness. You might want to use products designed for combination skin.
